That's probably the top contender right now. I worry a bit that this would make it feel like the book is only for current users, and I'd like to reach a broader audience. But yeah, definitely a title to consider.

Broad. Minimal math with focus on the intuitive interpretation of statistical results from a vast array of models. Emphasis on workflow, tooling, communication. My low-tech MA and PhD students will be able to read it easily, but I hope people in industry and other disciplines will like it too.

It's official. I'm writing the #marginaleffects book!
The provisional title is: “Model to Meaning: How to Interpret Statistical Results in R and Python”
Please reply with better titles, artwork ideas, content suggestions, etc. What do you want to read?

We recently published a paper about this. It's not as discipline-specific as it sounds, so it might be of interest. I won't pretend to have all the answers, but I think the obstacles to citing software are nowhere near as high as people's intuitions suggest. www.cambridge.org/core/journal...

PSA: All #rstats package on #cran will get an official DOI!

This will facilitate bibliometrics and giving credit to R package authors.

Registering all 20,000+ packages will still take a few more days. But the first couple of thousand are already live. Example:

Sorry, I never really use `gt`, so I'm probably not the best person to answer this. FWIW, my guess is that this would be pretty easy with tinytable::format_tt()

I don't disagree. But FYI, you can also do: sort_by(mtcars$cyl, -mtcars$mpg), and also use arbitrary functions to sort vectors and lists, which makes the function very flexible. The tilde trick is only really important when there's a `subset()` call before.

Fair. I've played a lot with formulas so I'm used to dot as "everything". But yeah, "." vs. "_" is kind of tricky, though in this case I think "data=_" is actually superfluous and the command would work anyway.

The new `sort_by()` function in #RStats 4.4.0 is a nice alternative to `dplyr::arrange()` for pipe-based workflows.

Interesting! But why not use the native functions format_tt() and style_tt()? If it works it works, of course. I'm just curious.
