🧵Am I reaching anyone outside of my resister friends? I hope so, but I really don't know. It's very difficult to change minds on social media because of algorithms and silos. Asha Rangappa wrote an article or two a couple of months ago on bridging vs. bonding. There's a tendency to bond, not bridge.

💯 General rule of thumb that will be 99.9% accurate: 1) If Trump opens his mouth to refute something, then whatever he's refuting is 100% true. 2) If Trump ever backtracks on something he said publicly, believe whatever he said the first time. He's such a predictable, lying piece of shit.

There are many broadly referenced & respected sources that are pro-democracy & truthful. Many span social platforms providing articles (e.g. on Substack), videos on Youtube along with posts on Xitter/Bsky/Threads. Different strokes for different folks. That can help depending on personal preferences

I agree that we all need to be armed w/ facts backed by trustworthy news sources. But the process of educating those that are uninformed and getting them to seek out additional information starts with a conversation. If they aren't engaged and motivated to learn more then the rest doesn't matter.

This should be a long list to boycott.. WSJ, HuffPost, WaPo, Newsweek, The Economist, NBC and on and on and on it goes. More news agencies than not are driving the narrative against Biden while ignoring all of the same "warning signs" and more from Trump. (While IGNORING all threats to democracy)

This is a bit of a slippery slope though. SCOTUS made themselves the final arbiter for determining what is & isn't an official act by POTUS. This leaves them wiggle room to declare some acts of a Dem POTUS as being unofficial/private while they declare all acts of a GOP POTUS as official.

I agree with Robert. There is no easy answer to reach the masses but we each need to do our part. It starts with a conversation. We all need to reach out to those we know that aren't aware or don't understand to help them understand.
