Seems like insurance is reflecting the misallocation of real resources (construction), financing (mortgage originations), and permitting (mostly yes for sprawl, mostly no for sustainable urban density), and this article is blaming the messenger of the climate crisis. Nobody is blameless but c'mon.

"The likelihood that these properties will retain affordable insurance through the duration of the mortgage is very low" The mistake is building and originating 30 year mortgages on structures that are too expensive to insure for 30 years. Insurers are the only actors acknowledging the problem.
