I love Gen-Z and Alpha but have to tell you, the worst cultural force of the younger generations is FOMO. It's okay to not understand a conversation you're not a part of. That isn't us excluding you, it's us talking to ourselves. (Though personally I'm Xennial, not Gen-X.)

I work in a company that sells bridal and bridesmaid dresses. The sheer number of people who use the reason of return field to vent about Bridezillas is staggering. "No longer need" is a pre-written option you can select! But people NEED to let us know that...

AI movies always make me think of dreams--a bunch of stuff happens that you have no control over and can't turn off. But MORE IMPORTANTLY: The most boring thing in the world is someone describing a dream they had because you can't replicate the experience. If you can't replicate the movie, screw it!

Yeah. Once Lower Decks and Strange New Worlds started serving the ensemble show I craved, I really started to appreciate Disco on its own terms. For what it was doing, being a show about ONLY Burnham, it was great!

There's a really good Imaginary Worlds episode that's a decently long interview with the series director. The feeling I got from her was that there's no overt political intent, it's a revenge story first and foremost, but that implies a lot of unintended politics of course.

I've said time and again--the average movie ticket should be $5. If every movie is priced like an event blockbuster, people will only go watch event blockbusters. Want people to see Bros, Fall Guy, or Polite Society? Make going "just to see something" something people can afford to do!

In-n-Out isn't the best burger in California. It's a VERY GOOD burger, and it's AFFORDABLE, that's what we love about it. McDonald's is crap and costs $15 for a meal, In-n-Out is $10 and good.

Northern California has a bunch, too. I've seen about a dozen between Milpitas and San Jose. I have not yet seen a single one without a vanity plate, I think it's a law or something. They won't sell you one without a vanity plate.
