at least when we moved the elevator was only kinda down—the call button on the first floor was broken but it worked on all other floors. They pretty had to assign a crew member as elevator operator

It was some luck of timing catching the last Metra, but it’s really nice that it’s just that and a bus transfer to get home at 10:00 PM on a Sunday needed someone to get us to the Metra station but regardless, build more reliable public transit in the United States please

update: it’s something serious, probably the alternator. charging circuit died again while I was at my parents. Good place for it to die, though, we can take Metra back home and my brother is going to fix it since it’s stuck near his place
