it is very normal for ppl in big cities to hate interacting with strangers in public, ppl from toronto are allergic to it. seems strange that this guy thinks it’s about an inherent lack of friendliness and not that high population density and reliance on public transit makes ppl feel rushed.

It's a stereotype of every single metropolis lol, whether it's New York, London, SĂŁo Paulo, what have you. The only difference in that stereotype between SĂŁo Paulo and Rio de Janeiro is that people from SĂŁo Paulo are passive-aggressive while people from Rio will tell you to go fuck yourself.
