Kinda darkly amusing to me because it's 100% in line with Bethesda's take on the setting, which is that it must never, ever change. Boston 200+ years after FO1? Still has bodies and pre-war food lying around like it was nuked yesterday, amd everybody's half-naked in tin shacks like it's a desert.

I despised this the split second I left the vault in Fallout 4. It looked like we'd been out of circulation for... oh.... 5-10 years at *most*.
