It never got weird enough for me.
One of the biggest things the christofascist crowd insists on is that the mere existence of LGBTQ+ people is pornographic. It's the whole central tenet of Moms For Liberty's nationwide book banning push.

Which is why the christofascists are instead pressuring payment processors to try and restrict smut peddlers and sex workers by pushing them outside of the ability to function in the modern economy.

There's a reason the famous Nazi bookburning pictures are of the results of a Nazi-affiliated student union breaking into and looting the research library of the Institute of Sexology.

And yet the winner, by a landslide, in nearly every Presidential election in the last century is 'didn't vote'.
Being marginally better than the worst scum of the conservative pundit class is a bar so low Satan stubbed his toe on it.

Yep. The party as a whole cynically fundraised on reproductive rights for almost half a century without ever using any of several supermajorities to make them law.
I'm going to end up pulling the lever for the dem candidate for President, but only because voting is an act of civil responsibility.

It’s not that Democrats are too liberal. It’s that they’re largely fucking useless.

This is insanely important. The few times I've seen it go well have been the objective cases, like 'this account holder who is very open about their real life identity shot someone'.
It is easy to fake this stuff, and some groups love it if it lets them take a swing at their posting enemies.

A serious attempt by legislators or a candidate to invalidate a plainly valid election to install someone who plainly lost the election as president is not a "legal hack" or "finalizing results". It is treason. It is a treason against the United States and its citizens. We shouldn't dance around it.

It's also both bullshit and more expensive. Unless your AC is vastly undersized and it's humid enough the condenser is freezing up, it takes way more energy to cool and dry a space repeatedly from ambient temp/humidity than to maintain it at a reasonable temp.

I personally believe that it's all rooted in a deep seated insecurity, which also drives their belief any any equity in treatment must be an assault on their own privilege. A view which is heavily cultivated by the grifters that prey on them.

I've lived my life in corn country, and we're now at a point where the fertilizer runoff due to phosphorous and nitrogen contamination is making filtering drinking water harder and causing a dead zone in the Gulf of Mexico downstream due to provoking algae blooms that deoxygenate the water.

Kinda darkly amusing to me because it's 100% in line with Bethesda's take on the setting, which is that it must never, ever change. Boston 200+ years after FO1? Still has bodies and pre-war food lying around like it was nuked yesterday, amd everybody's half-naked in tin shacks like it's a desert.
