I’ve spent untold hours telling my “liberal” friends that “we (the immunocompromised, the most vulnerable, the most at risk due to occupation, etc) need allies! We need your help!” And now now one talks to me because our Democratic Government Officials told them everything was over.

Yeah same. Everyone has just left rather than doing the simplest of things. It's quite painful.
