I had made a lovely display stand to keep my painted minis on. This evening, the wife accidentally knocked it over and sent my finished minis scattering and shattering. Guess I'm back to square one now as many are beyond saving. Rough end to another rough day. #nerdlings

So... this is probably too gross, but I'm quite unwell and whilst hacking up gunk this morning I noticed the interesting colours coming out of me and thought "I should remember these tones for my plague monks..."

Actually got to play a game for the first time in years! A fantastic game of #bloodbowl even if my #skaven left the pitch with their tails between their legs.

Special shut iut ti the gutter runner who took 5 tackles in a single turn but could not be knocked down. He deserves a name.

Gold top milk, slowly warm in pan over low heat. Gradually add sifted cocoa powder and grated chocolate of choice (darker generally better). Do not allow to boil or over heat, all mixed whip and aerate then serve. Marshmallow topping for kids, dash of baileys for adults.

Absolutely. I haven't told her anything or directed her at all. She's just playing with paint and then interpreting what they are without any preconceptions. It's pretty awesome. She tells me all about them and I just actively listen and encourage her to keep talking.

Thanks. I'll ask, I'm sure the positive feedback would be good for her. Recently, she overheard me talking to someone about Necromunda. "Dad, are there Genestealer cults in Necromunda? Because if there are, then I can play!" She wouldn't be seen dead playing anything not tyrannid.

I'll have to ask the elder one about permission to share. She has gone hard into tyrannids, but gets a little shy about her work. I do enjoy watching her play with colours though. She discovered under-shading her contrast paints all by herself.

It's such a joy. I've never pushed my kids into any interests, just let them try things and experiment. Both of my girls have decided to join me in painting, and getting to do it as a family activity is wonderful.
