I feel so much guilt over the fact that I often wish my dad would pass. I adore him, but he's in the end stages of lewy body dementia and it's just so fucking hard to see him like this. It breaks my heart every time I visit, but I can't not, you know?

Hard to talk about end-of-life, but many who've had to watch a parent live with dementia/alzheimer's/chronic pain understand it, and we need to have more of these conversations. My Mom has moderate alzheimer's, is always crying, and long ago said she was ready to go. No quality of life
