So let's say an unscrupulous and conniving President (i.e. Me) using this ruling decided to instruct the DOJ to arrest Trump on charges of treason just to hold him in a Fed lockup until January 19th, that wouldn't be allowed?

In the case of non-irrevocable acts like that, a judge could order him released, assuming the arrest wasn't stopped by a judge before it was ever executed. The ruling means POTUS can't be prosecuted for official acts, not that their decisions can't be overturned.
