I wonder how many times Sunak has told us he’s ‘bold’ during this election campaign. Several thousand.
And yet, pumping out tiny-minded Tory resentments, badly disguised as policies… is quite the most unbold thing imaginable.
Just feeble, pandering bullshit.
Almost as many times as he has said you can't trust Labour with the economy, taxes and that they don't have a plan. Comping from the party that gave us taxes at their highest in 70 years, £2.7tr debt and a some of the plan they stole from Labour.
I've never seen anything like it. Unless Labour screws up, I'm pretty sure this will be the worst Tory result ever. And hopefully Sunak will lose his seat. Where that leaves Parliament afterwards, though, is another question. We desperately need PR.
His problem lies in the fact that he isn't able to use the contents of the two previous manifestos without ridicule - as they failed at them. So the answer is to appeal to the grey vote and the Dick/Plonkerage/UKIP brigade for votes.
Sunak’s final few weeks in office are confirming his total lack of the qualities as a leader. He has resorted to a clumsy attempt to appeal to his dwindling geriatric and racist base in the hope of rescuing a few seats.
