This seems to be something you would know a lot about. Do you have more recent links? Tbh I just searched for what I read up on a few years ago when I really wanted to yell at reps.

What if your phone number is way out of date, location-wise? Do they cross-check databases? My phone number is from California, so when I called my governor recently (New Hampshire) I used a Google Voice number with 603 area code hoping that would help.

Specifically on the issue of mask bans, but also bathroom restrictions, calls from out of town about tourism have had significant impact. Just make clear you are reaching out as a potential tourist reconsidering a trip
