Reactionaries started working the media during the Civil Rights movement after sympathetic coverage in Life magazine. They literally demanded the media consider both sides on the KKK & segregation. It took 50+ years to get to this point. Hopefully it wonβt take that long to correct.

It was an issue to me also - Biden was low on my list. But I assumed at least that everyone was on the same page that the passage of time is inexorable, and it's frustrating to see it be a surprise to party insiders who closed ranks around Biden til now.

I think the general message discipline matters more than who's the candidate. If everyone in a political role who's currently raising the pressure for Biden to resign instead was publicly hammering on Trump's much greater weaknesses, it would be a lot more productive.
