Thank you. I loved him very much but didn’t know he was Republican until Obama. I was proud of my mom because she listened to reasons each item or person. She was not the easiest person for me to get along with but I think I was able to make a positive difference and I think she appreciated it.

On the 4th we would always have BBQ chicken or steaks, corn on the cob, potato salad and apple pie for dessert (for my dad) AND we would have (for my mom) carne asada, beans, Mexican rice, guacamole, pico de gallo and tortillas. I wish I could enjoy such a meal today. 🥲💔❤️🤍💙🇺🇸💚🤍❤️🇲🇽🎉

Then after my father died, she needed help voting. I told her that I would be happy to but that I was a Democrat. She asked me the reasons on each item/person. She voted FOR Obama in his second term and asked me to take her to the Registrar of Voters to change her status to Democrat! 🥰🙏🏼💙🇺🇸 2/2

My mom was a green card holder for many years refusing to become a citizen. When she could have dual citizenship, she became a citizen! I was very proud off her and went to greet her after the ceremony. My dad whisked her right off to sign her up as a Republican so she could vote against Obama. 1/
