Calls to expand the Supreme Court inherently misunderstand the problem. The solution to a problem should never be more of the problem. The solution should be to eliminate the problem.

Joe Biden is responsible for murdering nearly 40,000 Palestinians and absolutely nothing would have happened to him regardless of what the Supreme Court said today. The idea that something shifted today in how elites can use their power is a media created talking point.

I share this not to continue calling them out, as thatâs been done, but so you can see how they think about accountability. Any professional social work organization that is not willing to be accountable to fellow social workers is not an organization that is deserving of your membership or support.

In response, NASW has completely ignored all of these questions and has not said one additional thing about their statement or the harm they caused.

It has now been 2 weeks since the National Association of Social Workers issued their harmful statement calling for âboth sides to address the root causes of the conflictâ in Gaza. Since then, many social workers have criticized this and asked NASW valid questions to clarify their position on this.đ§ľ

This is what we mean when we say this is not a "child welfare" system. Last year, nearly 400 children in the custody of Texas DFPS - children they forcibly separated from their parents allegedly for their safety - were victims of sex trafficking. This is not safety.

There are critics of abolition who say the world we envision is an unrealistic utopian dream. But it isn't. In fact, it's already happening, everywhere, all around us.

The U.S. Commission on Civil Rights finds widespread and systematic discrimination against Black families by NYC's family policing system.
The evidence of racism in this system is overwhelming. There is simply no space for those who continue to deny this.

To kick off pride, this is me in my 2nd grade school picture along with the inspiration for my pose. I remember the photographer begging me to smile but I was determined to serve this look. I think I nailed it. Never compromise who you are because of other peopleâs expectations. Happy #Pride2024!

Please do not become a supporter of punishment because of the person who might be punished. Punishment is a tool of the state that has been used for centuries to maintain oppression - it is never what we should hope for.

One of the problems with the âlesser of two evilsâ argument is it perpetuates the idea that there are only two choices. There are not.
Joe Biden is evil and you do not have to vote for him. The calculations of whether he is more or less evil are not relevant.

Yet throughout this weekend, anyone on social media has seen horrifying images of babies beheaded by Israeli soldiers and few people, much less Joe Biden, have said anything about this. I continue to reject the idea that silence is an acceptable position for anyone in a position of power.

Today Iâm thinking of the time when Joe Biden went on television to claim he had seen images of beheaded babies, attributing this to Hamas. He was lying of course and his people had to walk it all back.

Iâm sure others have said this but itâs important to point out that the lives of the 7 aid workers who were murdered by Israel are no more important than the more than 30000 Palestinian lives who have also been taken. The difference in the public response to this is telling.
