This headline is dishonest. After being punched in the face by a cop for trying to comfort her father as their family's house burned down, she was also charged with a felony.

Well I spent the past 90 minutes in tears. I am so grateful for the work that the REBUILD Team has done and is doing. My goodness, what a powerful program tonight. Please help us to raise funds needed to continue in 2025: www.mightycause.com/story/Rebuil...
The U.S. is resuming a shipment of 500-pound bombs to Israel that had been held up since May, when the Biden administration suspended delivery of two types of weaponry amid concerns about the ballooning scale of civilian casualties in Gaza, officials said.
Heres a gift article detailing how NYC law firms are attempting to silence student supporters of Gaza by threatening their future employment. And of course the company helping them do this is named HireRight.

I want to be honest with you and say that most people:
1. Don't fight.
2. If they do fight, it's only for a short while.
Knowing this doesn't make you a cynic but a realist. The work continues and we do our best to try to bring more people along.
The Israeli military has expanded its evacuation order to the whole of Gaza City after sending tens of thousands of Palestinians fleeing from several of the city’s neighborhoods earlier this week.
Look at what the Democrats have been doing in GA with Cop City. Pure fascist tactics. True on its face. And millions of Democrats have no clue and some who do can't perceive the fascist tactics. I understand how frustrating that is.
If you've already known for like 25 years that some groups in the U.S. have already experienced living under USian fascism and your FedBook friend Jane is posting nonstop about fascism being on the way and Project 2025 existing, I understand your frustration. But alas, we need more people to fight.
I too used to be an 'oh, NOW you care' person when I was younger. I was profoundly annoyed with ppl who didn't "understand" what I already knew & then all of a sudden started caring. Then I realized that was a ME issue, not at all about them. EYE was annoyed while THEY were coming to consciousness.
I agree with this and I also really don't like that it's true because I don't believe in "good" people. But what OP said is the way to actually move people towards where you want them to move.

Israeli forces fatally shot 14-year-old Ghassan Gharib Hussein Zahran in the back while he played with friends yesterday in the occupied West Bank. Israeli settlers and soldiers attacked Palestinian residents who tried to reach Ghassan while he bled out.

““Please help us, they’re not doing anything for us,” Trancita Ponce, a Chowchilla resident, said in a statement shared by the CCWP. “There is hot air blowing inside of our rooms, I have a huge migraine and I feel sick and other girls are throwing up.””
People are wrong about more important things all the time, but I still remember the guy who very confidently told us a month or two ago that there would not be a clear winner in the Drake/Kendrick beef because both of them are too established.
You want to read this newsletter—there’s so much here to help us help libraries. Also, the interview with one supporter of libraries is not to be missed. Getting involved is so powerful, and it’s great to hear about that
July edition of For the People: Leftist Library Project's newsletter is out! It's filled with ideas and resources to help those who are interested get more involved in the work of strengthening and expanding public libraries: open.substack.com/pub/librarie...
I believe them that they will do this almost immediately upon taking office again. I have lots of questions about what we do on Left(s) about this. Who is working on this now? [I'm sure some groups must be]
Might be nice to have a candidate who could forcefully and confidently deliver a message of what plans are for the future and see where the chips fall.
If it's any consolation, organizer friends in AZ, NV, GA, already had these states as leaning R weeks ago. Nothing to do about the debate but about Biden and the campaign more broadly. I shared this #onhere a few weeks back and mentioned that they were doubling down on the upper Midwest.
“This is the 4th attack on a school in the past couple of days…They justify that every time they target a school that there is a Hamas base & that Hamas fighters are in there, but we see that most of those who are injured or killed are Palestinian children women.”
