Thank you everyone for your kind words over the past few days. One: I finished the artwork for the exhibition! Now I’m free to enjoy Onishi! Two: OVERCAST and the temperature is dropping! Just in time for me to be able to go outside again and go to an onsen!

My best friend makes folders and slideshows of my OCs since I don’t save or record a lot of my drawings. one time I drew a big squiggle so they couldn’t put it into the slideshow and they were like “DUDE”.

Being slightly bigger bodied than the people here is rough… my heat tolerance is not as great so going outside is like horrific… but then watching everyone else go outside and handling it makes me feel so incredibly weak. Lmao…

I think that’s why I have a hard time believing in my worth as a person, or that I have anything interesting to add. And I’m grateful to the people who give me the time and space. Which is also a thank you for following me lol

I think the hardest part about conversation with people is that I’m a good listener, but not a good speaker. So when I feel like I share something about myself, it’s very very boring! So I choose to ask more questions about other people rather than actually… saying anything about myself.

Everyone here is so so nice, that You know your brain maybe isn’t very stable when existing feels horrible and simply using amenities and having new people watching me exist is so so scary and I’m always ready for someone to tell me I’m doing something wrong/bad. 🤧 Maybe it’s the heat lol

I’ve been enjoying the residency for the most part, and I’m so grateful to be here and have this opportunity. I’m just constantly scared I’m squandering it and my anxiety is intense. I’ve been pushing myself beyond my usual comfort zone, and it’s been so hard.

I think being told “don’t use the air conditioning too much or you’ll make a huge electric bill” is scary because I then just opt to not use it. But then suffering through 97F high humidity is breaking my brain. So now I’m using the air conditioning but feeling so incredibly guilty 😩

Ultimately up to you. Manga and anime are always always going to be different experiences. The way she plays with panels and pacing are like watching a master at comics.

WHA really changed my life, and like… I unno if I’ll ever shut up about how much I love the manga. I think once the anime releases I’ll either be insufferable or quietly pull into myself like I did with other media I enjoy. 🥲 either way, will be so excited to see more fans.

I think a big mixture of rejection sensitivity, not sleeping much at all from “allergies”, and feeling inadequate and unprepared here has caught up to me and I spent most of the day sobbing. Felt like everyone hated me but it might just be all in my head (as it usually is).

Saw this randomly in my TL, but I’ve been using Ackerman Piston Demonstrators (that use real G nibs) and Platinum Carbon Black ink. A little drawing i did at a con. Fountain pens can still have their own kinds of messes, but having a rag is generally helpful. bsky.app/profile/aluh...
