Aw kitty 💚 Cyd is our fireworks hating friend but things are just starting to kick off here & we have music on. We'll put on a good action film for him when it really gets going - he loves TV. When we're ready to sleep I'll put the sleep meditation app on loop.

I had quite a few requests for "romance" this year from my 5-6th set, and that's a pretty limited category for MG. I picked some titles and Keeping Pace by Laurie Morrison was ideal! Strong story about learning to be a friend & managing the need for perfection, with a sweet HEA 💚📚

So this giant, tiny baby weighs in at 4.2 pounds, starving & still dehydrated. Vet estimated her at 20wks based on size, but revised down after looking at her teeny baby teeths. Apparently she's 13-14 weeks and just a *huge kitten* (Still seems So Smol though 💚)

Honestly mostly what it's saved is a lot of aimless looking around 😹 I apparently put The Fear in all of them young/early in our partnership. The two things they respect, almost irrationally, are my bag and the sewing scissors!

I've just seen that Julie Bindel has posted to make it clear that she sees these women's stories as a hammer to attack trans allies and frankly she can eat shit in hell at a trough alongside Neil Gaiman. Weaponizing a survivor's story is not much different from disbelieving it.

Buying trauma shears in bulk has been a lifesaver for my multi-ADHD + crafting household 😹 And it means I don't have to murder anyone over misusing the expensive sewing scissors! (Have given sets as gifts to all fam, they are converts now too.)

Unpopular opinion, but we're not a fan of the doves - they keep trying to nest on our house :( Maybe we need to make friends with peregrine falcons? 🤔 (Though to be fair, twice now the local red tails have used our yard - and specifically our picture window & bbq - as a murder-and-dine 🙀)
