Not when it comes to pardons, certainly. Or anything related to foreign policy. Or anything that could arguably constitute "national security." Yeah, we're fucked.

The way I read it is that it's basically a) If you're doing, or talking about doing, crimes, even very obviously crimes, with a federal official, you get complete immunity b) If with someone else, maaaaaybe immunity, it depends
