Seeing a lot of folks saying that the push for Biden to drop out is all an effort to tank the party's chances in November, but the behavior of big Dems who desperately want to win the presidency and congress absolutely does not reflect confidence that Biden staying is their best shot.

True. There are multiple things going on at once & many folks involved aren't seeing this at all, which only makes their actions more chaotic & for many, self-defeating.

The Heritage Foundation wouldn't be threatening to try to force us to keep Biden if they thought he had a chance to win.

To be honest, I am at this point not sure I believe that they desperately want Biden to win.

I don't honestly know what would be best, but I'm a retired spinster in small-town Iowa, so it's not my job to know. Yes, the lack of solidarity at the top rungs of the party isn't exactly reassuring.

Listen I get the concern. He’s old. He needs a nap. But a lot of this is dems worried about OTHER voters (dems and otherwise) losing confidence in Biden. Which was reasonable to feel some concern but it snowballed on itself and now we’re here. At a certain point we need to take a deep breath.
