I've said this several times but it is worth repeating:
You don't ask an LLM something, you are giving it a prompt.
You don't get back an answer, you get plausible sounding text.
Using the incorrect words for what they do allows the people peddling the technology to get away with ridiculous claims.

O AND ANOTHER THING sometimes people are like "you can't have first person past tense when the narrator dies at the end how are they telling you the story" and like, the hell? Who cares? It's all made up, I made it all up just now. How does an omni narrator know what everyone thinks?

The hospital's nonstandard use of diapers amuses me. Previously, a diaper was wrapped around the leaking lines of a cooling blanket. Now, one is being used to catch drainage from the newly inserted g-tube.

Building off my Twitter comment - the font for #1 looks more appropriate for a hopeful story, especially with the light flare in light.

Though it was too dark for this to be the problem, I repeat my friend's plea to not take photographs on train tracks. The train can't stop for you.
And if you are having suicidal thoughts, don't try to tough it out alone. There is help from hotlines like 988, medicine, doctors, therapists, & others.

Our train home today was five hours late.
There was a trespasser on the tracks just outside los Angeles.
We had to wait on site for the coroners office. And wait again at the next stop for a crew change.

As someone who went to view the solar eclipse years ago in Oregon - arriving early worked really well. It was the drive back that was packed since everyone left at the same time.

Using labels to divide and stigmatize people is not helpful. But getting rid of labels entirely is also unhelpful. No labels means everybody is identical, when we're not. Better to use labels to understand. Use labels to find and customize answers to problems.

It's my bday!
For my bday wish I'd love it if you read my favorite story ever, "There's Magic In Bread".
This is for everyone who's had a hard pandemic, everyone who sees nothing but bleakness but fights for hope anyway, and anyone who just loves bread.

I don’t think it can be emphasized enough that large language models were never intended to do math or know facts; literally all they do is attempt to sound like the text they’re given, which may or may not include math or facts. They don’t do logic or fact checking — they’re just not built for that

Ight I’ll do one on writing with emotion. But 2 things:
1. This is stuff that works for ME. If you think it’s stupid, totally fine. Do what works for you.
2. I got a day job so these posts are gonna be sporadic and possibly not in any specific order lol
