People on the frontline fighting forest fires in the west are also prisoners So the CEOs make money off the labor, bulldoze forests to build houses then throw inmates at nature to save their homes from the consequences of climate change & inmates arent allowed to continue firefighting when released.

The fucked up part if i recall correctly is that there is a part of the anti slavery section of the american constitution that bans slavery EXCEPT as a form of legal punishment and you know damn well that was gonna get abused.
