Apparently the government of the Yucatán recently erected a Poseidon statue on one of their major beaches. It’s a very heavily Mayan area, where people still pray to Chaac, the god of rainfall. They’re now being slammed with 3 hurricanes and significant flooding, leading to memes like this

Star Trek Prodigy - Season 2: Delightful. Easily one of the best entries in the franchise. A wonderful coda for Voyager and a fun adventure. Paramount were fools to cancel this show and I hope it profits Netflix greatly to spite them.

I need more "semi-casual" games. Games that are more engaging than, like, clickers, but not as mentally intensive as twitch shooters, or even RPGs (which explicitly or implicitly require a lot of mental investment in their systems)... I wish I had an example, but if I did, I'd be playing it.

Historian here the Supreme Court of the United States just ruled that the President can do no wrong in his official capacity and is above the rule of law and the people. Seems like the founders were all wrong to reject monarchy say the “originalists” on the court.

This wasn’t hindsight either. A lot of us argued at the time that they should be expelled. Then Joe Biden didn’t even mention it in his inaugural speech two weeks later. Not expulsion. Not the coup attempt itself. Just…nothing.
