Damn, I just heard a dude prepping his kid like 'the subways here are not like the subways in Japan. There are no bathrooms. And there are no safety rails. So you have to stand farther back and hold our hands at all times' This country's infrastructure sucks

I haven't gone West of Yokosuka yet, but I am so fascinated with how well connected Japan's public transportation infrastructure is. In Tokyo, I rarely even had to use a bus, as the railway/monorail systems could get me in walking distance of wherever I wanted to go.

I actually had like a little 30-second cry the other week, after the NY congestion pricing was pulled. It seems like every time we're right on the cusp of having something really good that launches us into the future, someone yanks it away at the last second.
