I often wonder how it's legal to provide zero shade or shelter for farm animals - yet you see it literally dozens of times per hour when driving through New Zealand's countryside. Animal cruelty is in our blood here

Day in day out there are God knows how many appalling breaches of the animal welfare act 1999, covering both companion animals and farmed animals. Some of our animal sports consist of the worst breaches of the Act. It's just that NZers don't care about animals. We pretend we love animals, we don't.

Its an oxymoron of a problem, offer shade, means pasture reduction, also have you stood under the trees with 50 head of cattle?? or 100 sheep, the temp that their bodies emit is more than out exposed. It also encourages deep dung/flies/crowding. what is worse? [I offer strip shade]
