One of the biggest things you notice since you’re passively experiencing the game over and over again is that the sound in SC2 is terrible. Or at least the sound design is decent but most of the effects are really grating, tinny, high pitched, and lacking in character.

Not saying they’re comparable but I’ve noticed two guys in Hollywood whose praise givers always have this edge of pleading in their voice when they talk about them are Tom Cruise and Adam Sandler. Always had this tone of “please, can’t we just accept he’s good and that I am normal for saying so?!”

I somehow end up watching a lot of videos from a StarCraft 2 Youtuber and I’ve found myself disliking that game so much more than I did when I actually played through it twice years ago. I don’t want StarCraft 2, I want a sequel to StarCraft 1 and Brood Wars!

Even though it’s been hot (for us) in WA; shorts and sunscreen, sweating, hit a theme park, etc somehow it didn’t quite *feel* like summer to me yet. Today I got a whiff of poor quality air and realized with horror I had a smell-nostalgia response. My brain now associates poison air with summer.

I never really got on with questioning Trump’s mental acuity either. The reason Trump is evil isn’t because he’s senile, it’s because he’s a racist craven asshole who will sign anything the GOP puts in front of him as long as he sees it as in his best self interest.

Some stages after they introduce the Follow command also don’t really feel like puzzles? Or at least they are more “action puzzles” that I just don’t like as much as the block movers from earlier in the game.

The way the people interact introduces just enough randomness that it’s both more difficult to tell what you’re doing wrong in a puzzle and even get lucky and solve some puzzles the wrong way (at least based on comparisons to the in-game solutions video)

Partially for this reason I don’t follow car development like I used to. As such, I think the last interesting performance car, at least in the US, was the BMW i8. It had enough idiosyncrasies, like the hood being incredibly obnoxious to open, to be more of a concept car you could actually buy.

The Corvette becoming yet another mid-engine performance car made it faster but it also made it more boring. I completely lost interest in the line, except for that weird “Stealth mode” tiny battery thing in some versions, with the C8.

I’m of the opinion that if you’re going to spend too much money for a prestige-y car the least it could do is suck sometimes. Things like Lamborghinis being temperamental. Or dealing with Jaguar electrics. At some point, maybe around the Bugatti Veyron, super cars were expected to just work.

The first one feels like a desperate bid for some kind of catharsis. It’s a cry for help in a way. “This thing sucks and I’m having trouble dealing with that.” The second one feels like a bit to look smart or virtuous. “This thing sucks and I bet I’m the only one who gets that.”

That is a complex question but largely to me it comes down to how easily one is able to vote. I happen to live in a place where it’s very easy so I will do so because it takes very little effort. So if one bases morality on how difficult a task is then I am not doing something very moral.
