For all the talk about Professor X being a stand-in for Martin Luther King Jr — contrasted with the more militant Magneto/Malcolm X — I never realized the issue of the X-Men that was on newsstands in early April 1968 when MLK was killed actually featured a scene in which Professor X was killed.
