If, like me, you’ve been disenfranchised because your ballot papers have not been sent out in time to your proxy and you can’t get to the polling station, the Electoral Commission recommends you make a formal complaint to your local council rather than to the Commission.
I think shitty Royal Mail is also playing a part. My wife's pass for tonight's count only turned up yesterday, five days after it was sent first class from an office a mile away!
Weirdly I have both a postal and a proxy (obviously only using one!) and both arrived in plenty of time. Our council has a reputation for being slow and hopeless so I can’t imagine what others must be like.

My partner had her Berlin based daughter’s proxy vote. Took several people to accept her vote for some reason. If it wasn’t acceptable why send it to her in Berlin in the first place?
