1. I think Dave was angling for all three of those women being older and more world-weary than they were in Rebels. It worked better for Ahsoka, I think, than Hera and Sabine. 2. Could have been explained better. Though I think Dave was aiming for a S2 reveal and we don't have Ray now, so fuck...

And this is coming from someone who gives the Star Wars shows a lot of rope to hang themselves on. I actually kinda dug Ahsoka, I thought that was great but obviously it's not going to pay off until the next season. Book of Boba Fett was a fucking mess. Mando S3 was a mess, too.

Agreed. It has some incredibly cool ideas, and some great characters but so far I have just been frustrated with the pace. Like, last week's episode was a big fat nothing burger? This week was ALL the context we needed, but we could have paced that out a bit at a time. Concerned about the finale.

TCM is doing "directed by Roger Corman" programming every Wednesday night this month, so I've been filling in some gaps in my Cormanology. I posted this when he died but Corman was a skilled craftsman, not just a shrewd businessman. His own movies have a real snap!

I watched it again just now and I've never been more disappointed in a Jedi. And I think the whole point of this show is "The Jedi are kind of fucked up, recalibrate your feelings" But like I wanted to root for Sol (mostly because Lee Jung Jae is a badass) but man, he fucked up so hard.
