I'd tell my international students to watch it if they wanted to get a handle on the NZ accent. I think quite a few of them continued watching it after they left the country.

It gets good viewership still too, doesn’t it? Not my cup of tea but so many people get their first break there, would be a real shame, shortsighted to lose all that talent.
