There’s nothing wrong with looking at a candidate’s fitness for office. I understand the concerns a lot of people express about Biden. I felt the same way after that miserable debate. But the discussion’s over unless Biden changes his mind, because today he made it clear that he’s not quitting.

Interesting that even when you try to be deliberate, specific, and thoughtful about this, some people are so ego-invested that they’ll read things into what you wrote to make up a straw man, then forcefully defeat that straw man. But whatever.

Trying to force the issue past Biden consenting to drop out would be a total disaster in my opinion, and I definitely am not in favor of that. But it’s not impossible that his position could, uh, evolve if things get worse or there’s another public episode.

Criticism of Biden on this score is dishonest unless we note that Trump can't get his facts straight (either because he lies intentially or because he can't tell truth from fiction) and that he cannot control his outbursts. Biden is honest and sane, which should count for a lot more than it does.
