There are so many stories to write about this Supreme Court term — the conditional and hypocritical nature of its rulings, the damage it has done, and the warning it leaves with us. I am glad we are entering a period where I will be able to do some of that work. But, it's dark.
Today broke me in a way that Dobbs, Shelby county, and all the rest didn’t. It is the ur-text for what’s about to come. In many ways, Trump v US is the new constitution.
This term has convinced me that this country needs serious reform to the Supreme Court. If I asked which one of these was the worst SCOTUS decision: Dred Scott, Plessy, Korematsu, or this Trump case. I honestly think you can make a solid argument this Trump case is the worst.
