I really hate the "What you need to know" and bullet points format of article that every newspaper uses now. First of all I don't "need" to know anything. I'll decide what's worth my time to read about. And this bullet point shit all looks like it's spit out by ChatGPT. Probably is.

Biden will never drop out, Trump has a good chance of winning. But I still think a lot of people that disapprove of Biden in the opinion polls will vote for him anyway out of desperation. So I'm not of the belief that it's a guaranteed Trump landslide yet.

It's not trivial, even if you have work lined up. No one's going to welcome you to their country just because Trump is president and doing dictator stuff. And maybe liberals should reflect on that and how silent they've been regarding Biden's right wing border policies.

I took a test to prove I can speak English. Yes, you have to do this even if you're a US citizen. I paid the fees.. and I was immediately denied for no clear reason. So I did something wrong in my application, but I had other job opportunities at home so I never followed up.

Thinking about the way climate change has been communicated in the past and I think there was way too much focus on the dramatic but long term changes like the melting ice sheets and rising sea levels. Not enough focus on how our quality of life is already degrading from extreme heat, for example.
