There are bosses that look incredible, with movesets that are gorgeously animated but you can't take any time to appreciate it because you either solve the fight in seconds or the boss two-shots you and you can't enjoy it either way.

I've made peace with the fact that "straight" and "cis" are sometimes used to indicate a specific demographic and not gender/sexuality, which is ok. That said, yeah, turning every man that tries to develop an inclusive and positive masculinity into a subject of fanfic is disheartening 😞

This happened with the Spanish flu, too—it’s not present in almost any of the notable art made in the years after it. And, like, of course it’s not. Art isn’t made to be a beat-by-beat retelling of real life, and artists very commonly deal with trauma and disaster of many kinds obliquely.
