For the first time in decades, the RNC won't allow cameras/media into its platform meeting. Further evolution of the Trump-era RNC's aversion to the press - they see only downsides for transparency, though this hasn't prevented damaging stories when reporters dig in
Whereas Biden won't give the New York Times an interview, therefore the Opinion pages must daily shiv him until he drops out — at which point 352 articles per week will appear on how the new nominee has questionable credentials. And the Trump-era RNC aversion to the press will get minimal coverage.
They are planning on stripped down platform with NO DETAILS to be able to deny that they want to do things Americans will hate when asked. Media needs to NOT LET THEM GET AWAY WITH NON ANSWERS about policies they plan to implement if elected.
We need a liberal version of Project Veritas to get into these meetings. All those never-Trumpers who still have RNC bonafides could do it. Do they have the guts to?
Then again, one could just read Project 2025 and get a first look at it, maybe they think any further illumination beyond that is just gilding a particularly shitty lily.
If they're not allowing any media then they are literally just in there making a huge list of names of people they'll immediately kill if Trump gets into power
