A nugget I found while researching for a @csmonitor.bsky.social article: detached single-family homes use TWICE as much energy on A/C than apartments in buildings with 5+ units.
Dense urban environments are better for the climate, especially in extreme heat. 🧪

i was just going to make a post about this. if trump decides you are an enemy of the state or a “threat to national security” and has you deported, citizenship or not, there’s nothing you can do to get home. he has full legal power to render you stateless.

This is the same attitude my racist father had in the 70's when he was convinced jobs were being given to black men who did not deserve them. Keep in mind, my dad dropped out of high school, yet still insisted he deserved the job and the black guy only got hired because of affirmative action.
