I’d like to indulge an I Fucking Love Science moment, if I might. Last fall I got diagnosed with Hepatitis C, an unwelcome surprise but one that made sense of some symptoms I’d been having. I got prescribed a one-month course of antivirals, took ‘em. Got tested this week and: it’s totally gone! 👍

Let me tell you a real boring story! Last year, a queer artist in my community put up a cool Pride installation. Then some bigots used it to hang bigot flags and threatened to sue the city if they took down the bigot signs without also taking down the (admittedly unauthorized) art piece…

So he settled a lawsuit before dying. Essentially he got away with it. No prison time, no punishment, no real closure for most of his victims. He wasn’t even eaten alive by rabid chinchillas.
