I've never been delusional enough to think I could make a living doing art. I've fortunately always had a full time job. Unfortunately it eats all of my time and energy the older I get. Art isn't really a big part of my life anymore. It does make me kind of sad sometimes.

I charged $30 to do emotes for twitch streamers a while back and was once told that they could just get them on fiverr for much less. I said go for it. I got burned out even just doing the small amount of commissions I did that I don't even draw anymore.

Thank you for this. I'm recovering from a two year hiatus myself from burnout. Trying to do things for myself for once as well. "do what you love and never work a day in your life" is such flawed advice that I cannot agree with. When I tried making money with art, it turned into something I hated.

I can so relate to this thought process. I have stopped drawing for nearly two years due to thinking like this. I couldn't make something that felt like perfection so I made nothing at all. I want to draw again but am so out of practice now that I need to relearn how to do it.

Someone set up a t-mobile account and bought 5 new phones... And I guess the rep typed in the wrong email and put mine in there instead. Now I keep getting updates on his order and when it's shipping... I contacted t-mobile TWICE to correct this and I still am getting updates to this man's account.
