The environment has completely changed now. People really didn't believe that Roe would get overturned as much as it did, so politicians didn't want to risk their appeal by codifying it. That has now completely changed.

I'm glad somebody finally said it. Democrats have been kicking this can down the road for decades, using the threat of an overturn of Roe v Wade as a wedge issue to get votes. Well, somebody finally got it overturned, and so... vote for the same people who did nothing meaningful for 40 years?

It's almost like laws get written by the legislature and not the president. We've got to get the house back, and that could mean - Getting enough Dems in there - Getting pro-choice independents in there - Heck, DSA if your local candidate is viable But they have to be viable
