I'm not defending any asshole for anything. I'm simply stating that there are plenty of good people the whole world round of many religions, and, typically, declaring that "all [some stupid bullshit higher power following] are bad" is maligning a population of good people. All religion is stupid.

Clearly I touched a nerve. I myself am an atheist. I have a number of friends who consider themselves Christian. They hate Trump, they are disgusted by what they're seeing, and have stepped away from their churches that promote anger and hate. What are they, if not Christian?

Hmmm... I don't know that they are Christians... More like "Christians in name only". They sure as hell don't follow the teachings of Christ. I say that, simply because I know a significant number of ACTUAL Christians that DO follow those teachings, and they are honestly good humans.

Oink, Waffles, What... Lordy, they were (are any still alive?) the ish for HD music. I have a ridiculously stuffed 5TB HD full of FLACs that I haven't listened to for quite some time (Tidal is more "convenient" than streaming from my server).

legit. Between solar on the roof with batteries and new heat pumps, I've managed to cover almost all of our electrical, heating, and cooling needs... I'm about 10% short in the winter, counting the hot tub (which is currently stupidly inefficient, gotta wrap it this fall). Zero-import is the goal.

I use my own panels for solar-driven heat pumps for heating and cooling. In the summer, I'm selling excess energy after topping off the batteries, in the winter, I'm about 10% short of my daily requirement. Heat pumps are amazingly efficient though, even in Minnesota cold.

You're right, Vituperative Erb. Instead, I ended up in the middle of the intersection anyway with a totaled car because my airbags went off. Memphis was still kind enough to send me a ticket for running the light that I still had to fight in court. Certainly was a helluva great trade.

Point being, micromanagement of ONE aspect of driving a vehicle (bicycles included) is short-sighted and asking for an accident. There are a number of factors that must be managed in driving, and being over the speed limit by a single MPH is foolish to focus on.

Absolutely. But I'm not going to focus on being over the speed limit by one MPH, I'm going to focus on the car crossing the line into me, I'm going to focus on the cyclist on the shoulder, I'm going to focus on the pedestrian entering the road. If I'm five over? Sure, I hit the brakes.

I've never gotten one either. Never been at fault in an accident, either. I have been rear-ended at a light that has a red light camera, though, because I wouldn't proceed through the intersection under a who-knows-how-long-yellow.

I do - it's helpful in keeping me from going OVER the speed limit, especially low speed. I'd also point out that there are things in the US Like state highways that have cross streets, but are also speed limited at 70. Should I not use it there? No laws in the US prevent the use of cruise control...

Yeah, I mean, I totally want to go 75 in a 15. [smh] Y'all, I asked a question because nothing controlled by a human is perfect. I set my cruise at the speed limit on the highway (adaptive cruise is amazing). I drive slower than the limit posted in most situations, especially in neighborhoods.

What is it with the continued glowing coverage in Minneapolis news of slain MPD officer Jamal Mitchell? Don't get me wrong - he sounds like a great officer... But was he the ONLY good thing to come out of MPD lately? Are the MPD that hard up for good stories that they have to focus on him for weeks?
