Clearly I touched a nerve. I myself am an atheist. I have a number of friends who consider themselves Christian. They hate Trump, they are disgusted by what they're seeing, and have stepped away from their churches that promote anger and hate. What are they, if not Christian?

Did anyone here say they're not Christians? You're the one claiming authority to litigate who is or isn't a Christian. Maybe calm down, step back, and re-read what people have actually said to you, without so much emotional investment clouding your judgment.

They too are Christians. Christians are *not* a monolith and never have been. Anymore than atheists are. Do you agree with all atheists? Share the same ethics? Of course not. The same is true of Christianity. Being a shitty person doesn't make someone not Christian.

If these white Christians are such "good people", why aren't they taking steps to protect disabled people by masking in public spaces I thought there was something about "caring for the least fortunate" as being an important part of that ideology

Sir, I suggest you save the replies to this and your previous comment for future reference. This is what happens when you're loud and wrong. You can learn from this experience.

That's sort of the whole fucking point, Andy. Just because there are good people who are Christians does not mean that bad people who are Christians stop being Christians. You might as well say that white supremacists aren't really white, because you know white people who are good.

Dancing around No True Scotsman. Yes, there are Xtians who emulate Christ. Nevertheless, these fascist theocrats are using the name of Xtianity in a country where they know most people have a positive view of Xtianity to push their lies. I call it #WhiteMaleTerrorism but Xtian terrorism applies, too

The existence of Christians who are not terrorists has zero bearing on whether there are Christians who are.

"Christian" is a very big tent. Christians disagree with each other about a LOT of things - theology, ethics, metaphysics, etc. Some Christians do terrible things in the name of their god. Some do beautiful things. This has been true as long as there have been Christians.
