This is the eugenics for the elderly and disabled clause. Medicaid is the primary insurance of those on SSI disability. Meaning those who have not been able to work enough in their lifetime to qualify for SSDI and Medicare. It also is what pays for nursing homes for the elderly.

The show I am watching is very fond of tinted contact lenses to make the character's eyes more captivating. But I can tell they are contacts, and one guy especially must have dry eyes because the lenses shift whenever he blinks. It is so distracting!

Somehow, even though I have put in the corrections multiple times, and have had several doctors say they are putting it in, I still show up in the hospital's system as having an opioid scrip. Nope, that was an acute injury in 2012, and I was given 5 days worth.

I have asked for an antiemetic so I don't exacerbate the pain by being sick. Sometimes this opens a door to actual medical assistance. Sometimes they give me the antiemetics, which at least make the agony less messy.

Yes! I have a textbook case of something that is **really common** with my genetic condition. It's always blamed on stress, or I am accused of eating too much red meat (red meat increases my joint pain, so I almost never eat it). Hate spending thousands to be treated like crap.

My new patient consult w/ the surgeon will cost me $318 up-front, as the insurance will only cover 1/2. We all know how these things work. You get a consult, and then they schedule you to come in again and again. If they charge this every single time, there is no way I can do it.

Also apropos of it being disability pride month - another easy thing you can do to make your social media posts more accessible is to use camel case, effectively capitalising each word in hashtags. This is easier for everyone to read and can be processed by screen reading software.
