Oops! Discs 9-11 should be 91-95 If I wanted to make it an even 27 discs I'd have one each just for NET 88 and 2000; add one to the 89-94. Then scrap the songbook-only disc for a 4-disc extension of NET 01-14 to take it through 2019, and finally add one disc for R&RW/Outlaw tour.

There are certainly some slow burns on here but plenty of ragers too. And I actually think some of the slow burns with big finishes helped them learn to appreciate slow burns. Like, the end of Night of the Living Dead elicited a full-scale gasp that was earned by everything that built up to it

One weird thing is that 1921 throws off the whole timeline. If the story takes place after WW2 everything works, but after WW1 there’s no way Tommy is less than 35 at the time of Pinball Wizard and much more likely 40 or older

#RS500 191 I love how this album truly goes for broke. The jazz standards are some of the best interpretations I've ever heard and the blues tracks are equally powerful. Only the stabs at trendy early 60s proto-rock/R&B fall a little short. Fave songs: Stormy Weather; I Just Want to Make Love to You
