I'm NOT saying someone should make a bunch of different QR code stickers & put them in perfectly legal places near Confederate monuments & all around with a sign saying "learn more about your rich Confederate heritage" & the QR codes take you to sites saying "your great grandpa was a traitor" etc.

Both my parents died of cancer - my dad very young, my mom recently, 8 days after diagnosis. They both handled the news that they were dying with such strength & grace - I spend a lot of time wondering what it was like for two people so full of life coming to terms with that shocking news so quickly

I came across this gorgeous painting by Clare Allan, yesterday, called "Swizzles Hill 2". This is a familiar scene for me: the climb to the Swizzles factory in New Mills. My great grandparents lived in New Mills for a while, and I love the canal walk that smells of sugar as the factory nears.

Same with our boy, till he was 6. We had to put stickers on the windows so he wouldn't crash through at the sight of a rabbit outside, and we brought over a cute greyhound girl to teach him how stairs worked :) Did you adopt your two together?
