I never said they should. I said that at age 20, this kid should have known better, period. If he were a kid in a black trenchcoat they’d mark him as a potential school shooter. Why you write this off as youthful folly is baffling.

If a kid in a black trenchcoat said “X group doesn’t deserve to live” and “I fight to kill,” he would be considered a probable school shooter. A kid who is 20 and was smart enough to get accepted into Columbia should know there are things that are reprehensible to say. It’s not difficult.
