I love this stuff - every time I see a cluster of lines on a pole, I think about an R Crumb docu i saw, and he pulled out a huge photo album of just power lines and said "you need a reference for this stuff, because there's no way you could ever draw that from memory"

I feel like y'all are forgetting "burgers." Still, I appreciate it when I see a character in a comic or cartoon eating "clump of something on a fork" - it's like the artist is telling you "does it matter more WHAT they're eating, or THAT they're eating? fed is fed."

Same - I had started a BG3 run and then realized that I've been finding the post-apoc settings to be more comforting lately (Fallout 4, Cyberpunk 2077, etc) Just like, in a world 10x more awful than our own, people are still hanging out and being bored and that's reassuring
