Saw a Pepsi one today! From the outside it looks nicer and less deadly than a regular semi. I have seen some say they suck for driving, at least long-haul, which is very believable, but fuck diesel straight to hell. Glad to see any forward motion on this front.

The rebate we have is bc some extra money existed and a member asked for it and so it got into the budget with not much fuss as a favor to that member.

There is a teeny tiny ebike rebate for low income families that maybe finally is someday rolling out. There isn't more because Sac politicians all have car brain and don't think this is worth funding or else see it as for rich whites only, despite that being demonstrably wrong.

After decades of activism, Joe Biden’s administration finally was the one to ban USDA’s Wildlife Services division from deploying cyanide bombs on federal BLM lands. These things have killed pets and injured recreationists, and killing carnivores is bad policy anyway. Biden got it done.

Oh but to my main point: When you succeed, for either type, success will often be bigger, faster, and cheaper than anyone anticipated. We have more experience of this for solutions with profit motives, but it is no less true for those purely in the public interest. Aim high. No, higher than that.
