OK so I have an opinion on this as very literal autistic person I LOVE HUMOR im the funniest man alive- so silly comments used to be the light of my life- BUT sometimes I'd get comments that just seemed weird or unrelated so I would say silly comments are great but stick to your safer humor c:

I have that issue, usually I find circle stretches make my joints a bit uncomfortable, so sometimes I work my way up to it by moving my hand like- up and down and side to side in one direction at a time. Might sound odd to do gentler pre-stretches, but it actually did help me a bit ! c:

In my anecdotal experience I find that it's good to just pantomime the hand stretches. You want to go through the motions but avoid going into a "full stretch" Healthy for the tendons to still get movement c:

for me it was realizing that even though stretching didn't hurt in the moment it would kind of ache afterwards try to listen to your body if there is pain c: maybe do the stretches with a smaller range of motion and see if it's more comfortable

You don't have to "feel a stretch" in your hands for it to work- instead try doing the stretches within the normal range of motion. I am not a doctor, I am just an artist who has injured their tendons a lot without realizing it โผ๏ธ

โจ If your thumb can touch your same wrist, you are probably hypermobile in your wrists. You can probably stretch farther than the average person, but over extension can still injure your joints and nerves and tendons

Important PSA to the Art Community for disability pride month IF YOU ARE HYPERMOBILE IN YOUR WRISTS- PLEASE BE CAREFUL STRETCHING. Be careful doing those artist wrist stretches As a hypermobile person you can end up doing more harm than good ๐ (gonna add more info in reply)

I wonder how much not being able to browse Twitter w/o being logged in has affected things. Twitter has NEVER been incredibly popular. It may have FELT big, but it never was. And now, unless you're directly linked to a tweet, you have to have an account. And who wants a new Twitter account in 2024?
